Why are the images blurred on jimp.io?
1 respuesta
Asked by people who land on the templates page and see fuzzy thumbnails. Is something broken, and how do I see the real thing?
It's deliberate. jimp.io is a site for webmasters, and plenty of them open it at a desk, share a screenshot or show it to a partner, so every explicit image starts blurred. The "18+ · Show images" button in the header lifts the blur, and your browser remembers that choice. "Blur images" puts it back.
We chose that over a full-screen age wall, which empties the page for search engines and annoys everyone who came to read about SEO. Your own Jimp sites are a different matter. They're adult sites and they keep their own age gate for visitors. The same blur exists in the site editor's preview, for when you work somewhere public.
