Why does my new site only have a few dozen videos when the niche has thousands?

We get this one more than any other, usually on day two. The wizard said the niche had several thousand videos, the site went live, and the home page shows about sixty. Is the catalog broken, or is something stuck?
Nothing is stuck, it's the schedule. A new video site opens with 60 videos dated over the previous 90 days, then publishes 6 new ones every day, each with its own date and its own rewritten text. The rest of the niche waits in reserve and keeps growing as the networks upload.
We don't let you dump the whole niche on day one because a young domain gets a small crawl budget. Pages published past it sit unindexed for months and drag the site down with them.
