Choosing a template

The template is how the site looks: the layout, the type, the way videos are shown. It does not touch the content, the niche or your settings. All five are included on every plan, demo included, and each has a real demo site online on the templates page.

The five

Studio. A studio's site: a full-width featured scene cycling through four videos, scene cards on three columns with a "New" sticker for seven days, a stars rail, poster headlines in condensed capitals. It is the default template, and the most versatile.

Editorial. A magazine page: one scene per screen, a large hero, scenes on two wide columns, margins and a serif. It works best on a narrow niche, where each video deserves room.

Neon. The voice of a cam portal: glows, frosted glass, a grid of portrait tiles on five columns. The natural pick for a site built around live cams.

Feed. A feed of clips that play on their own as you scroll, navigation on the left, live rooms and stars on the right. The feed is not infinite: a button leads to the next page, which search engines can follow.

Reely. One video at a time, full screen, in a vertical feed you swipe through, like short-video apps.

Reely is different

Reely's home page only plays RedGIFs clips, in portrait, in the RedGIFs player. It ignores your site's other sources. The other pages (/videos, niches, tags) keep your usual catalog, as portrait tiles, and every video page has a Back to the feed button.

So on Reely's home page there are no videos imported from WordPress, none of your own videos, and no traffic network. For a migrated site, pick another template.

Switching templates

In the site editor, Template tab: one card per template, one click, and the preview follows. Like any change, it goes into the draft and is only live after Publish.

What stays put:

• your content, your niche, your texts, your codes and your banners;
• your colors: your accent color and your mood stay yours.

The Reset to the template palette button brings back the chosen template's default accent color and mood, if you want to start again from its original look.

In the wizard, picking a template also applies its palette, as long as you have not touched the colors yourself.

What you can set, and what you can't

You set the accent color, the mood (dark, light or your own color), the logo and the two home page lines, in the Identity tab (see Editing your site). The layout itself does not change: that is what keeps every template fast and clean on mobile.

The network follows the template

Traffic network cards slotted into your grid take the style of your thumbnails, so they don't clash with the page. In the "More videos" row, only the header follows the template (see The traffic network).
