Editing your site

The site editor lives at Dashboard → Sites → your site. Its tabs follow the questions you ask, not the technology underneath: the site, the content, the money, the audience, and a status tab once the site has something to say.

Drafts and preview

Every change is saved automatically as a draft, a moment after you stop typing. The preview pane on the right shows the draft, live: colors, theme and text update in place, content changes reload the frame. The public site keeps serving the last published version until you publish; the action bar says which is which.

Identity

• Name and address: the address (name.jimp.site) is chosen at creation; a custom domain can replace it later.
• Brand color, font and logo style: the wordmark is drawn from the name, in the style you pick. No file to upload.
• Ambience: light, dark, or a custom background color. The text color follows the luminance of what you pick, so a light background never gets light text.
• Hero title and subtitle: the two brand sentences of the home page. The subtitle doubles as the page's meta description, the one search engines show. Left empty, the site derives them from its niche.
• Language: what visitors read. It is frozen when you take a paid plan, because the site's text is written in it.

Audience

• Analytics: paste your Plausible domain or your Google Analytics id; the site loads your script and the numbers land in your account. Jimp stores no visitor data of its own.
• Comments and favorites: visitors can create an account on your site (email code or Google), comment, like and save videos. One account follows them across every Jimp site. You moderate comments from the editor.

Status

Once the site publishes, the overview and the status band show what is online, what comes next, how much of the text is written and whether a rewrite pass is running. Nothing on that screen is invented: a number is read from a real source or it is not shown.

Offline and delete

A site can be taken offline (it serves an offline screen, the schedule pauses) and brought back. Deleting a site is final for the site; videos you uploaded to the Studio are yours at the account level and survive it.
