Demo, lapses and emails

What happens at the end of the demo, when a subscription stops, the emails you get, and how to delete a site or your account.

The demo

Without a subscription, a new site runs for three days as a demo. My sites shows the countdown, and the editor the days left.

The day before it ends, you get an email: "{your site} goes offline tomorrow", with a button to keep it.

At the end, the site goes to Demo ended: it shows visitors that it is taking a break, it leaves the network and search engines, and the editor no longer publishes. Your work is kept as it is. As soon as you subscribe, the site comes back, live, with everything you had set. Until online payment opens, write to us from My plan (see Plans and billing).

When a subscription stops

Whether it was cancelled, ran out or a payment failed, your site stays online. It just stops growing.

WhenWhat happensThe email
That dayPublishing pauses. Everything live stays live, your codes and banners too."Your Jimp subscription has ended: your site stays online"
23 days laterNothing changes yet: this is the notice."In a week, your site switches to Jimp's affiliate codes"
30 days laterThe site is hosted by Jimp: it runs on Jimp's affiliate codes and ad slots, and the badge comes back."Your site now runs on Jimp's affiliate codes"

The Activity tab banner gives the same dates.

Your codes, zones and settings are never deleted. On payment, everything comes back at once, and publishing picks up where it stopped: the schedule is shifted by the length of the pause, so there is no burst of videos on the day you return. Nothing already indexed was unpublished in the meantime.

Deleting a site

Identity tab, at the very bottom, Delete the site. You type the site's address to confirm. It is permanent: the site, its pages and texts are lost, the address becomes free again, and its custom domains are released. Your Studio videos belong to your account and stay.

For a break, use the offline switch at the top of the editor instead: nothing is lost.

Deleting your account

At the bottom of My plan. You type your email address again to confirm. If a subscription is still active, cancel it first, or write to us.

A checkbox decides what happens to your forum posts: checked, they are erased; unchecked, they stay under an anonymous author. Your profile, avatar and images go either way.

It cannot be undone: your sites and data disappear, and what is online goes dark within the hour.
