Free traffic in 2026, what still brings visitors to a small adult site?

One of the busiest threads on GFY last week was someone saying social media is basically dead for them, and nobody really argued. The same week a site owner asked for help with search and got no answer at all for twelve hours. That sums up where a lot of small sites are right now.
We have our own small data point, our Reddit account got banned this autumn. And the platforms that used to send real clicks to tube sites mostly want visitors to stay on the platform now.
So what's left for a site that can't buy its visitors? From what we read and what people tell us, it comes down to a few things that are slow and unglamorous. Search on narrow niche pages that the big tubes cover with a generic category. Image search, which some people say still sends more than they expected. Thumbnail trades and link exchanges between sites of a similar size. Small gallery sites that keep working years after everyone stopped talking about them.
We'd rather hear it from people running sites than guess. What actually sends you visitors today, and what stopped working this year? Rough shares are more useful than exact numbers, and nobody has to name their domain. We're still in launch and don't have traffic numbers of our own worth sharing yet, so we're here to listen on this one.
