Earnings

The dashboard's Earnings page: where the figures come from, how to set up each sponsor's postback, and what a pending sale means.

What the page shows

Dashboard → Earnings reads what your sites brought in, as reported by the sponsors themselves: what you earned over the last 30 days, what is pending, and the total since the start. Below, the detail by site, then by sponsor. Currencies are never added together: a sponsor paying in dollars and another in euros make two lines.

The money itself never goes through Jimp. Each sponsor pays you directly, into your account with them, under its own program's terms. Jimp only sees what your sites produce and never touches it.

Why the page is empty at first

A sponsor tells us nothing by itself. For a sale to show here, it has to notify us when it happens: that is the postback, a call from its server to ours. You set it up once per sponsor, in two minutes, and only for the sponsors that offer it.

  1. Open the card. On the Sponsors page, pick a sponsor where your code is already in (its card is green) and click Postback.
  2. Copy the address. Jimp gives you an address of your own, for this sponsor. Copy it.
  3. Paste it at the sponsor. In your account with them, look for "postback", "callback" or "server-to-server tracking", and paste the address there. Sponsors that ask for it have one line per variable (the amount, the sale id); Jimp's dialog tells you which ones to put.

On the next sale, the sponsor notifies us and it shows up in Earnings, under the right site: we add your site's name to every link your site serves, so the sale knows where it came from.

Pending, validated, cancelled

A sponsor often sends the sale twice: at sign-up, then when it validates it, a few days later, once the payment is checked. In between, it counts as Pending. A sale the sponsor cancels (refund, fraud) leaves the total. The amounts are what the sponsor sends us: if your account with them shows something else, their figure is the one that counts.

What the page does not show

Cams and banners pay per sign-up or per click, at the sponsor, and not all of them report every event: for those, the full figure is in your account with the sponsor, and the Sponsors card has a My stats link that takes you there. Earnings is made for what gets reported, not to replace their dashboards.
