Niche and content
The catalog, orientations, the words of your niche, exclusions and filters.
The catalog
Jimp maintains one shared catalog, fed continuously by two kinds of sources, plus the live rooms of the cam platforms (see Cam platforms). The partner tubes grow the catalog: their videos are embedded from their network. Sponsor scenes are studio trailers, hosted by Jimp with the studios' agreement and played in your own player, with your sign-up link. On a video site, one video in four comes from the sponsors, the others from the tubes. Jimp hosts no pirated content.
A site imported from WordPress is the exception: it keeps its own videos, whatever their source, and Jimp serves them alongside the catalog (see Migrating a WordPress site).
The catalog is append-only: new uploads keep arriving in every niche, and a video is never taken away from your site because it aged. What disappears is only what the network itself takes down, and what the policy below catches.
What never reaches your site
Before a video shows on any page, Jimp reads its title, tags and categories against one policy, the same on every site, every plan and in every country. Blood incest, signs of very young age, non-consent, and since 2 November 2026 strangulation, suffocation, breath play, smothering and facesitting are left out. A video caught by it disappears from listings and its page says the video is unavailable. It cannot be turned off. It keeps sites within the terms of the sponsor programs and of laws such as the UK's Crime and Policing Act 2026, and your own exclusions (below) come on top of it.
Orientation
Straight, gay or trans. Each orientation has its own category vocabulary and its own slices of the catalog, so a "twink" niche never mixes with a "milf" one.
Your niche
A single field, Your niche. It offers the canonical niches, the ones the networks tag consistently and people search for, and it takes any other word: "feet", "office", a studio's name. Several words widen: a video carrying just one of them qualifies. One or two words make a site that ranks; a dozen make a general tube, which ranks on nothing. A new word may need one ingestion cycle before its videos appear.
Exclusions
Excluded keywords: terms a video must not carry. Always an "AND NOT", useful to keep a niche clean of what your audience does not want.
Filters
Read-side filters applied on top of the selection: HD only, minimum and maximum duration, minimum views, recency. They narrow the pool the site publishes from; they do not change the catalog.
Pornstars
With videos, your site has a pornstar directory: one page per performer credited in your niche, with all their videos. That is as many pages ranking on a name people already type. Not every source credits its videos, so some niches get a thin directory; the wizard tells you. You can turn it off in the Content tab.
Cams
The cam section has its own axis: gender, and display tags. It shows who is online right now, refreshed every few minutes, filtered on your niche's tags.
Changing the niche
Everything above is editable in the site editor's Content tab, at any time. Widening a niche adds videos to the publishing reserve; narrowing it stops publishing what no longer qualifies, but what is already online stays online.
