Monetization

Where the money comes from on a Jimp site, and where your codes go.

Where the money is

Be honest about it: the videos themselves earn little. An embedded tube video pays a few tens of cents per thousand plays at the programs that pay; it is the SEO, the thing that brings the traffic. What pays is what the traffic does next: cam sign-ups, banners, and sponsor scenes, studio trailers played in your own player with your sign-up link, where the subscription you sell is what pays you.

Your affiliate codes

The dashboard's Sponsors page holds your codes: one code per partner program, cams, videos and banners, set once for all your sites. Your id is woven into every player, link and room the site serves: sign-ups, plays and clicks are attributed to your accounts, and the revenue lands there directly, never through Jimp.

You register at each program yourself: the Open an account button on each card leads to their sign-up. Some programs have no code and attribute traffic to the domain: you then just declare your own domain in your account with them.

  • No code, no program. As long as a code is missing, that program's cams still show, without any code, so your site doesn't go empty while your accounts get approved: they earn you nothing. The other programs, video sponsors and banners, wait for your code and don't show until then. Only the tubes, which are the site's base content, run without a code of yours, and they earn you nothing. We remind you by email once a month as long as one is missing. A code you set lights up at once, on all your sites.
  • During the 3-day demo, the site isn't monetized, except through your codes if you've already set them: cams show without a code, the other programs wait for yours. What you set is kept and applies as soon as your subscription starts.
  • 7 days after a subscription ends, the site is deactivated: your codes are no longer served, and a custom domain shows a pause page. Your settings return as soon as you subscribe again.

Cams

A cam section shows the rooms online right now, filtered on your site's gender and categories: a rail on a video site, or a full cam portal with a page per room. Each room links to the platform with your code, and its page embeds the room's player when the platform allows it. A visitor who signs up is yours for the program's whole attribution window. Cams are historically the strongest revenue in adult. The platforms, the code each one expects and per-site tracking are covered in Cam platforms.

Banners

Banners place themselves. Jimp holds six slots on every site and fills them with the partner programs' creatives, tracked to your code. You have no image to upload and no slot to set: you enter your codes on the Sponsors page, and the banners of those programs come out.

  • Under the player (728×90, and the large 970×90 strips when the sponsor ships them) and over the player (468×60): on video pages.
  • Sidebar, top (300×250): on video pages and performer pages.
  • Sidebar, bottom (300×250): on video pages.
  • In the grid (300×250, or a 728×90 strip on two-column grids): on the home page, niche pages and performer pages.
  • Footer (728×90): on every page.

On mobile, the strips under the player and in the footer become 300×100.

The banner follows the page. On a sponsor scene's page, it is the banner of that scene's sponsor, or nothing. Elsewhere, it is picked from the page's orientation and niche. And the rule on codes applies here too: a program whose code you have not set has no banner on your site.

Creatives are served from your site's own address, not from an ad server: a block list does not take them down with one line (see Ad blocker proof).

Reading what it brings in

The sales sponsors report to us are on the dashboard's Earnings page, for the whole account and then site by site. It takes one setting per sponsor, the postback, explained in Earnings.

Sponsors

Sponsors, paysites and programs that want their creatives on sites already ranking in their niche, come in through the waiting list on the start screen.
